Are you telling your client’s whole story?

A car crash costs your client much more than just the medical bills. EMT records don’t describe the fear and emotional trauma experienced by the victim. Join your colleagues at Scene of the Crash in Wooster, Ohio, on Friday, September 9, to earn 7.25 General CLE hours and understand the untold pain and suffering your clients go through. Emergency & medical professionals will lead the course, including actual crash scene simulations, and cover the scary details that don’t make it into the EMT reports.

9-1-1 Dispatch Audio
The Response
The Equipment
The Scene/Sounds/Smells/Feel
Emergency Scene Operations
Ohio Trauma Triage Protocol
The EMS Jargon/Run Reporting
Sources for Crash Scene Information
The Trauma Assessment
Transport to the Emergency Room
EMS/ER and Medical Control Involvement
Transfer of Care EMS to ER
Activation of a Trauma Call by EMS and Reception by the ER Trauma Team
 

In the Training Center Learning Lab and Outdoor Training Grounds, attendees will be guided through hands-on training and experiences including:
 

Patient Packaging
Scene Safety Protocol and Vehicle Stabilization with how that Plays into Patient Care
Extrication Tools and their Uses
Car Extrication Experience
Ambulance and Trauma Assessment Experience

Policies and Notices
Convention Cancellation

Cancellations by program participants received by 5:00 pm on Friday, September 2 will be refunded less a $45 service fee. No refunds will be given for cancellations received after 5:00 pm on September 2. Upon request, course materials are available in consideration of tuition paid. The OAJ reserves the right to modify or cancel a program if circumstances warrant it.
