When do you know that you have a real problem witness who is going to need special help?

Or is this witness an easy fix for someone who has tools in their toolbox that you “just don’t have yet”?

The skills covered in this 3 hour session will include:

• Abandoning the “lecture” model of witness preparation.
• How to tell the difference between a witness symptom and a witness disease.
• The importance of building a unique way to approach preparing the needs of each individual witness.
• Attorneys learn how to listen to witnesses, read their body language and encourage trust and communication.
• Attorneys learn rudiments of NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming).
• Attorneys learn importance of figuring out if witness is primarily visual, auditory or kinesthetic.
• Attorneys learn how to use this information to best communicate with individual witness.
• Attorneys learn how they themselves learn best.
• Attorneys learn advantages and pitfalls of their own learning styles when it comes to teaching witnesses.
• Attorneys learn how to identify individual learning styles of witnesses.
• Attorneys learn how to use this information to best teach witness what witness needs to learn about basic common witness issues.
• Attorneys learn “form” of deposition.
• Special considerations for video taped depositions.
• Identifying and assessing witness “symptoms” in deposition training process.
• Identifying and solving attorney “issues” in deposition training process.
• Figuring out how many sessions this witness needs.
